Our aims and objectives

We aim to support, help and motivate unemployed disabled people who are unconvinced work is a viable option.

What we do

We operate a weekly modular workshop with drop in and follow up service. We intend to:

Increase confidence and realise potential

Recognise work and improve lifestyle

Find and retain work

Carry out disability equality training

Provide in work benefit advice and training

Job Ready Workshops

In the workshop the atmosphere is relaxed and informal.

We help clients i.e. build their confidence by meeting other people on the course and to overcome barriers.

We have excellent facilities to support client needs and job search.

Offer IBIS calculation to see if they would be better off in work or with benefits.

Intensive one to one support.

Ongoing support while they are in work

Advice and guidance i.e. disability awareness, communication, anxiety management, work attitude, interview skills etc.

Lots of handing holding i.e. take them to interviews, tax credits and understanding of benefit letters and any other letters that could affect them.

Help clients to improve their IT skills, reading, writing and spelling.

Help clients with personal hygiene and clothing.

Can refer clients to social work, counselling, courses, training and placements.

Additional Information

We are job brokers under the Government's New Deal for Disabled People and providers under the Workstep Programme.

Funding Bodies

Our organisation is funded by Jobcentre Plus, Reed in Partnership and local trusts and corporations.

Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.

Our premises has disabled access.
