About Us

Our aims and objectives

To provide a primary education for pupils aged 5 - 12 with a physical disability.

What we do

Richmond Park is a Glasgow Primary School for children whose physical impairment is such that either:

  • They require regular medical or therapeutic intervention or
  • Need specialised teaching to access the curriculum
  • The application of national guidelines to curriculum and assessment in scottish schools, the 5 - 14 programme lies at the heart of the education on offer at Richmond Park School.

    Information and Communications Technology

The development of skills in information and communications technologies (ICT) is considered one of the most important educational features in the school's challenge to meet the educational needs of its pupils. The highest priority is given to the use of technology to access the curriculum.

All pupils are expected to use the computer daily and even children from the age of 5 are taught now to use word processors and databases. The integration of the computer into the curriculum has enabled many pupils to gain a high level of expertise in ICT.
