Our aims and objectives

Using a combination of our own products and one-to-one services, together with those of our local partners, we aim to help unemployed local people improve health, lifestyle, employability and ultimately find satisfying and sustainable work.

What we do

Reed in Partnership is about helping people help themselves build a better future. Building skills, building confidence, offering practical help that really makes a difference. Every day Reed in Partnership helps people see they really can get back into work we:-

Help with job hunting, give expert advice and free access to newspapers and the internet, and preparing job applications and CVs
Specialist employment advice if you have a health issue and or claiming Incapacity Benefit
Practice and advice on how to prepare interviews
Introductions to good employers looking for local people
Financial support for things like new interview clothes, tools and transitional support to help bridge the gap between coming off benefits and your first wage
Funding given where appropriate to help you increase your chances of gaining employment
Cash rewards in the form of lump-sum payments which may be avaliable if you move off benefits and stay in work. You could qualify for £500 when in work for 13 weeks and a further £750 when you have been in work for 26 weeks. These payments will not affect any other help you receive.

If you are currently unemployed and are living in the selected postcode area or you are currently on Incapacity Benefit, Income Support or Severe Disablement Allowance and would like to find out how work would affect you, contact us on: 0141 418 4600 or pop in and see us on Crown Street next to the Gorbals Library.We also offer a confidential drop in service at the Gorbals Health Centre on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 2-5pm in Community Room 3.
