Our aims and objectives
- To improve the quality of
life for families in Gorbals with young children aged 0-5 years
- To offer support to all parents
with children aged 0-5 years in the Gorbals
- To focus on all aspects of
children's all-round development
- To establish a peer support
network, both on a formal and informal basis
- To advertise Patch's activities
through various public events, and through any agencies who have contact with
parents
- To offer a variety of services,
from local parents to local parents, which offer support to
all parents, including:
- To encourage empowerment
of local parents, through community involvement
What we do
The group offers a drop-in service
for parents with young children, one day a week.
Other services that the group intends
to offer are as follows:
- A confidential one-to-one
parent support service
- Supporting the establishment
of new, small, localised parent support groups
- To organise children's activities
- To offer informal referral
to career's advice on any relevant education, training, employment and support
opportunities
- To offer access to childcare
support for any activities held by the group
Opening Hours
Drop-in Tuesday 10.30am - 2pm
in St Francis Centre, 405 Cumberland Street.
Drop-in Thursday 10.30am - 2pm
in The Playbarn, 37 Abbotsford Place.
