About Us

Our aims and objectives

• To raise levels of achievement for all learners.
• To create and maintain a learning environment that is safe and stimulating.
• To work with parents to promote the development of each child.
• To liase with either schools or agencies to promote continuity of learning.

Services we provide

• Oatlands Nursery caters for up to 60 children aged between 3 and 5 years, who attend either a morning session (8.45 - 11.45am) or an afternoon session (1.00 - 4.00pm). In addition, there are a small number of children who attend full-time, and are provided with lunch.
• A Gaelic medium class of up to 10 children occupy their own classroom within the Nursery but also join in activities with the other children from time to time.
• There is a mothers and toddlers group which meets in the nursery on Mondays from 1.15 - 2.45pm.
• Children can be put on the waiting list from the age of two, by filling in an application form, available from the nursery.

Funding Bodies

The nursery is funded by Glasgow City Council.
