About Us

Norfolk Court is two blocks of Multi Storey Flats containing 552 houses in the Gorbals/Laurieston area of Glasgow. It has secure parking and 24 hour concierge service. There is a small swing park and seating area in the centre of the flats and grassed areas surrounding the flats. There is a primary school and nursery school in the immediate vicinity as well as a few shops. The flats are in an excellent location being near the city centre. They are also convenient for public transport and are adjacent to the Citizens Theatre.

Our aims and objectives

• To act on behalf of all tenants on all issues relating to housing.
• To ensure that a high standard of service is maintained by housing staff/concierge.
• To continue to press improvements to the houses and surrounding area.
• To keep all tenants informed of any issues/practices, which may affect them such as ‘stock transfer’.

Services we provide

• We meet with senior Housing officers on a regular basis to discuss issues such as repairs/maintenance, anti-social tenants and general environmental problems connected to the immediate area.
• We also meet with local Councillors and other service agencies to discuss maters of safety and security.
• We act on the behalf of tenants on matters not necessarily related to housing, but which they feel unable to pursue.
• At present, we are heavily involved in the ‘STOCK TRANSFER’ issue and have taken part in many discussions WITH the housing dept, as well as corresponding with Councillors, MSP’s and MP’s.

Opening Hours

The committee meets every month in the Tenants Rooms at 66 NORFOLK COURT. These meetings are open to every tenant.

We hold an open Tenants meeting every two months and these meetings are always advertised on the notice board.

If there is an issue of particular importance to tenants, we leaflet every house.
