About Us

Our aims and objectives

To develop skills in all aspects of theatre leading to performance. To offer issue based workshops to instill confidence, presentation, communication and life skills to all members. To visit other theatre venues as part of the continuing development of theatre skills.

What we do

We offer drama skills leading to performance to young people from age 9 to 18 we also have an adult group. Drama workshops are also offered on all aspects of the theatre. We perform two major productions per year this being pantomime in December and a musical in May. We also take part in the Gorbals Fair. A further outdoor production concerns itself with the heritage and environment and takes place in September as part of the Doors Open Day. A week long summer school is also organised to enhance existing skills which leads to performance. Issue based drama workshops are also offered as is confidence building and life skills. We are also contacted by such organisations as the BBC, agents, film producers for our members to audition for any projects. Some of our existing members already have their equity card. A yearly written assessment is conducted with each individual and drama tutor. All the drama tutors are professionally qualified and have been checked through Disclosure Scotland. We have an open evening each year where new members are asked to join.
