Members

Creative Community Crafts is a community based group formed by millennium award winner, Jean Sechaud.

Creative Community Crafts was established to encourage and support people living with depression, difficult life circumstances and traumatic experiences to find support, understanding, relief and recovery through discovering and learning new skills.

In addition, we provide a safe, relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for people to get involved and meet new friends - as well as discover their abilities. We give supportive information on illnesses such as M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomylelitis) as well as supporting other mental health issues.

Scientists believe M.E. involves both physical and psychological factors, depression, stress, fatique and weight gain amongst others. There are over 150,000 M.E. sufferers in Britain, 24,000 of them are children. Creative Community Crafts provides practical hands on training combined with voluntary work to promote self development and build new confidence to make positive changes.

Can You Help Us?

We are currently looking for a volunteer that can assist us with setting up a database in order for use to keep statistics of all users of our services. Experience of administration is a great advantage.

We will support travel costs incurred and you will enoy being involved in an informal and friendly environment.

Workshops on offer

Card Making Workshops

We hope to set up a support group who will meet once a month to discuss issues related to M.E. Fybromyalgia and other health issues. If you are over 16 years of age and feel you have information to offer, contact Jean by telephone or alternatively drop in to the office Mondays or Wedesdays between 10.30am - 4.00pm at the above address.

Creative Community Crafts encourage theraputic workshops that relieve stress. You can learn at a grassroots level whilst being in a relaxed environment. We also give support and advice about health and nutrition by several competant people.

We hold several events throughout the year. If you are interested in taking part in any of these whether they are fruit demos or music and drama workshops contact us at the given address and telephone number.
